Location: Barnes Field Campground - Gorham, NH

JOIN US AS WE CELEBRATE TENKARA IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL FOREST

New to tenkara? We can get you set up.

The White Mountains area has some of the best wild trout fishing in all of New England.

The Tenkara Camp Out is a grassroots event with great people who love the outdoors and tenkara.

2026 Schedule (subject to change - stay tuned for updates)

Friday

              2 pm to 5 pm: Registration at Barnes Field (campsites assigned)

              Give out welcome packs at Barnes Field (event swag, schedules, maps, etc)

              5 pm: Social Time at Big Day Brewing and late check ins

              5:30 pm: Camp Out Intros and General Information

 6:00 pm: presentations by TBD

              6:30 pm: Steve Angers from North Country Angler presents on local waters

 Anytime: Food/Drinks buy your own

7:00 pm: Discussion: form small groups and suggest locations to fish

7:30 pm: Raffles and close

Head back to campsites

Saturday

             AM: Breakfast on your own

             Fishing in small groups

             Lunch on your own

Time: After lunch, Tenkara Instruction Stations on Lawn (formal and informal) attendance optional, some may want to just fish all day

             Time: Fly tying at camp

             Fishing in small groups

             Time: Group Cookout provided by staff, potluck food always welcome

             Hangout at the campfire (games)

Notice: The campground can get a little loud at times. This is our once-a-year event where we all can get together to celebrate and catch up. If you prefer more quiet, we recomend you buy a ticket without a campsite and book one at Dolly Copp or other lodging close by.
